  1. Sorry, NOT a fan of crop tops and short hair. This new album is going to be a joke, just like “We Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together”. Why couldn’t she have released songs like “This is Really Happening” or “Dark Blue Tennessee”?

  2. Seriously? That’s really mean, and Shake It Off is already almost at the top of the charts. If you don’t like the music, that’s your opinion, but it’s not cool to say that it’ll be a joke. WANEGBT is so popular. This is one song. Wouldn’t you say Treacherous or All Too Well is completely different than that? Then how do you know what the rest of 1989 is going to be like? Think before you say hurtful things.

  3. I agree with Amy. I’m not a fan of this song. Like at all. I generally don’t like Max Martin’s stuff but I was really hoping this would be the exception. Oh well.

  4. Guys, WANEGBT didn’t represent the album at all so I think that 1989 is really going to be great. Shake It Off was created to get a lot of radio play, that’s all. It’s a fun song, I like it!

  5. I don’t like it. at all. the biggest problem that I have with this song is that it leaves me cold. I don’t find it meaningful but also I don’t find it catchy or bubblegum pop enough. It’s like in the middle of nowhere. I have low hopes for this album, and for me the cover is just…..horrible. And only 13 songs? If she didn’t have so many loyal fans this album could be her first flop. I think that an artist needs to evolve but if you start to change so much, you’ll lost what made people love you.

  6. I have been a fan of Taylor’s music since the beginning of her career, but after learning of this news, there is no doubt in my mind that she has completely sold out so as to make the most money….sad. Granted, I understand that there have also been other artists, most notably Shania Twain and/or the cursed LeAnn Rimes, that have also “crossed over” into Pop territory at one time, but for Swift, this is a full blown Pop album (with no country elements whatsoever) that screams “I want to make a quick buck.” Add to the fact that “Shake It Off” sounds like something a 12 year old might sing, based off the quality of the lyrics, and the fact that Swift now seems to be out of “boyfriend material” being that she’s not dating anyone at the present time, all of this seems very desperate to me. Lastly, she now has to rely on Top 10 pop writers like Shellback and Martin to compose songs. She must really be struggling with writing material if she has to rely on them. Long story short, Hollywood changed Ms. Swift, and not for the better.
