Lover has been certified platinum in the USA. Congrats Taylor!

In an achievement sure to send Swifties skipping down 16th Avenue, Republic Records announced on Friday (Sept. 27) that Taylor Swift’s Lover has officially been certified platinum by the RIAA, reflecting 1 million equivalent album units earned in the U.S. (One equivalent album unit, as recognized by the RIAA, is equal to: one album sale, 10 tracks sold from an album, or 1,500 on-demand audio and/or video streams from an album.)

The news comes just four weeks after the album’s Aug. 23 release, which marked the biggest week of any album in the U.S. since the debut frame of Swift’s previous full-length studio set, 2017’s reputation.

Featuring lead single “ME!,” LGBTQ ally anthem “You Need To Calm Down” and the swooning title track, Lover gave Swift her sixth No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
