Taylor & Lana Del Rey Debut ‘High’ on Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks Chart

The pop stars’ new singles earn high debuts on the chart. Plus, new music from Rita Ora, Robin Thicke and the return of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis!

Taylor Swift claims her ninth top 10 on Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks as “Wildest Dreams” starts its chart run at No. 3 on the survey dated Aug. 22. The track’s huge bow owes to a Swift tweet announcing “Dreams” as the fifth single from her current album, 1989.

Good news for the new release – all of Swift’s previous 1989 singles have ascended to No. 1 on Top Tracks: “Shake It Off” (one week), “Blank Space” (three weeks), “Style” (one week) and the Kendrick Lamar-assisted “Bad Blood” remix (two weeks).

Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks is a weekly ranking of the most shared and/or mentioned songs on Twitter in the U.S., ranked by the volume of shares over a seven-day period (Monday to Sunday).

Lana’s ‘High’ Start: Just below Swift, Lana Del Rey grabs a No. 4 bow for “High by the Beach,” a new cut from her upcoming album, Honeymoon. The alt-pop singer shared her new track on Aug. 10, and the official audio clip has swelled to more than 2.2 million global views on YouTube. “Beach” becomes her third top 10 entry on Top Tracks, following “Brooklyn Baby” (No. 9) and “Honeymoon” (No. 1, one week).
