Taylor Swift has scored her fifth Official Chart Double in the UK, making her the female artist with the most in history! “The Life of a Showgirl” has returned to Number 1 on the UK Albums Chart for a fifth week, while “Patient Zero” has debuted at Number 1 on the UK Singles Chart. Check out all the details below!
We have an important announcement to make! Taylor Swift secures the Official Chart Double as The Life Of A Showgirl returns to Number 1 and Patient Zero debuts atop the Official Singles Chart.
Following the release of its expanded The Encore edition, The Life Of A Showgirl claims its fifth non-consecutive week at the Official Albums Chart summit.
The feat arrives on The Life of a Showgirl’s first anniversary; the record released on October 3 2025. It’s now Taylor’s second album to return to the top spot on its one-year anniversary, following The Tortured Poets Department. Patient Zero becomes Taylor’s eighth UK Number 1 single and her third of 2026, following Opalite and Toy Story 5 track I Knew It, I Knew You. It’s her first year scoring three chart-topping singles. It means Taylor is now the only artist to achieve a hat-trick of UK Number 1 singles in 2026 so far.
Fellow Encore tracks Cleveland (3) and Babylon (4) also debut, giving Taylor three of this week’s Top 5.
Patient Zero’s success makes The Life Of A Showgirl her first album to produce three UK Number 1 singles, joining The Fate Of Ophelia and Opalite.
Taylor has now achieved the Official Chart Double with five distinct album-and-single pairings, claiming the feat in every calendar year since 2022.
