It has been announced that Taylor will receive the Dick Clark Award for Excellence at the American Music Awards on Sunday November 23rd. You can read more about it below!

Taylor Swift is getting a special – and new – award from the American Music Awards.

Dick Clark productions announced Friday that Swift would receive the Dick Clark Award for Excellence at Sunday’s show.

Swift is receiving the honor for her record-setting sales. Titled “1989,” her fifth album that was released last month, became the singer’s third album to sell more than 1 million units in its debut week.

Dick Clark’s widow, Kari Clark, said in a statement that “the first time Dick saw Taylor perform, he knew she was something special.”

Swift will kick off the awards show with a performance of “Blank Space,” her new single which hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart this week.

Taylor on the cover of Lucky Magazine

Taylor is on the cover of the December/January issue of Lucky Magazine. The cover and photos from the photoshoot were released today along with an excerpt from the interview. Be sure to head over to our gallery to check out them out, read the preview of the interview and watch a behind the scenes video below!

Over the course of her career, Taylor Swift has transformed from a teenage country crooner into an international pop-singing sensation. It wasn’t until the past couple of years, however, that Swift gained recognition as a fashion icon. Today, she’s got a style that’s all her own, from that wispy blonde bob to her signature cat eye and cherry red lips.

One thing that’s remained a constant source of speculation since last spring, though, is Taylor Swift’s belly button. While there is much mystery surrounding the status of Swift’s navel, the internet continues to wonder: Is it pierced? Is she secretly Kyle XY? Finally, the singer (and our December/January cover star!) finally has something to say about the matter in our upcoming issue!

“I don’t like showing my belly button. When you start showing your belly button then you’re really committing to the midriff thing. I only partially commit to the midriff thing—you’re only seeing lower rib cage. I don’t want people to know if I have one or not.” She laughs. “I want that to be a mystery. As far as anyone knows based on my public appearances, they haven’t seen evidence of a belly button. It could be pierced. They have no idea. If I’m going to get some sort of massive tattoo, it’s going to be right next to my belly button because no one’s ever going to see that.”

Taylor’s ‘1989’ No. 1 for Third Week on Billboard 200

Taylor Swift‘s 1989 album spends a third consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, making it only the second album to spend three weeks atop the list in 2014. Only the Frozen soundtrack, which racked 13 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1, spent longer at the top.

1989 sold 312,000 copies in the week ending Nov. 16 — down just 22 percent in its third frame — according to Nielsen SoundScan. It’s the first album to sell more than 300,000 copies in its first three weeks since Beyonce’s self-titled effort in December 2013. Beyonce debuted at No. 1 with 617,000 (from only three days of sales), then spent a second (374,000) and third week (310,000) at No. 1.

1989’s total sales now stand at 2 million. It continues to rank as 2014’s second-largest-selling album, behind the Frozen soundtrack (3.25 million). They are the only two albums to sell a million copies in 2014.

In total, Swift has spent 27 cumulative weeks at No. 1 with her four chart-topping albums. That puts her ahead of Barbra Streisand on the list of women with the most weeks at No. 1. Among leading ladies, Whitney Houston has the most (46 weeks), followed by Mariah Carey (30), Swift (27) and Streisand (26).
