Taylor premieres new song “…Ready For It?”

A montage for Saturday night’s Alabama vs. Florida State college football game featured a Taylor Swift song.

The song was not her new single “Look What Made Me Do.”

It was instead “Ready For It,” another track set to appear on Swift’s forthcoming album “Reputation.” In addition to scoring the college football montage, “Ready For It” appears in a commercial for ABC’s fall schedule.

“Ready For It” will continue to receive attention Sunday. According to the official iHeart website, mainstream iHeartMedia stations will begin playing the song at 8AM ET Sunday morning.

“‘Ready For It’” isn’t an follow-up official second single to “Look” but the track is set to invade radio airwaves as iHeartRadio stations will start playing the song on Sunday morning starting at 8 AM ET,” clarifies iHeart.

Taylor Scores First UK #1 With “Look What You Made Me Do”

“Look What You Made Me Do” earns the top spot on this week’s UK singles chart

Taylor Swift’s pre-“Reputation” discography includes numerous songs that fared well in the United Kingdom. Three peaked at #2, and others earned lower positions in the Top 5.

It does not, however, include a #1 UK hit.

This week, the first “Reputation” single accomplishes what no previous Taylor Swift song achieved: it claims the top spot on the Official UK Singles Chart.

Powered by mammoth first week sales and streaming numbers, “Look” debuts at #1. It seizes the throne from Dua Lipa’s “New Rules,” which spent the past two weeks on top.

Look What You Made Me Do Breaks Record For Lyric Videos

With still over two months to go until the release of her upcoming album, Taylor Swift is already smashing records: Early Saturday morning (Aug. 26), her lyric video for “Look What You Made Me Do” had the most views within 24 hours of its debut than any other lyric video in YouTube history.

“Look” was watched more than 19 million times in the 24 hours after its release early Friday morning (Aug. 25). As of Saturday evening, the video had almost 28.5 million views. Watch below.

Swift surpassed the record previously held by The Chainsmokers featuring Coldplay, whose “Something Just Like This” lyric video hit 9 million views in a day back in February.

  Taylor Announces New Album ‘Reputation’

It’s really happening. After the long wait and numerous snake-related teases, Taylor Swift has confirmed her new album, Reputation, is coming Nov. 10. But fans won’t have to wait that long to hear new music from the pop queen – the first single drops Thursday (Aug. 24).

Swift also revealed the album cover art (shot by Mert & Marcus) for her sixth album via Instagram on Wednesday (Aug. 23).

Even though it’s been nearly three years since Swift’s 1989 — which won the Album of the Year Grammy — she hasn’t been a stranger to the charts. Her 2016 Zayn duet “I Don’t Want to Live Forever” from Fifty Shades Darker peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, just one spot shy of becoming her fifth No. 1. But with anticipation building for a new Taylor Swift single since she wiped her social media accounts last Friday (Aug. 18), could this new single become her next No. 1 — potentially unseating the historic No. 1 run of “Despacito” from Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber? We’ll have to wait and see.
