Hot adult contemporary radio programmers are extremely enthusiastic about Taylor Swift’s new single “Wildest Dreams.”
That enthusiasm manifested in the form of a surge to #29 on this week’s Mediabase airplay chart.
It also manifests in the form of a trip to the top of the Mediabase Hot AC add board.
Picked up by a whopping 79 monitored stations this week, “Wildest Dreams” easily ranks as the format’s most-added song.
Insofar as they are already aggressively spinning the song, the stations put “Wildest Dreams” on track to become another Hot AC hit for Taylor Swift. Her previous four “1989” singles “Shake it Off,” “Blank Space,” “Style,” and “Bad Blood” all reached #1 at the format.
“Wildest Dreams” is in a league of its own on this week’s add board. Jamie Lawson’s “Wasn’t Expecting That,” which claims second-most-added, received 21 pickups.
